Ilex Forest

Zone type: Dungeon · Levels 20–22

The oldest forest in Johto and the only one the road went around instead of through. In the central clearing there is a tiny, poorly kept shrine with an offering that is always fresh and that nobody admits to leaving. The warden says the forest has a protector, that the protector travels through time, and that this is why the offerings turn up before anyone brings them. Then he laughs. Not entirely.

Zone mechanic

The lost Farfetch'd

On the way in the warden lends you a Farfetch'd: it travels on your team through the whole forest and sets one of yours aside, which you get back when the zone's boss falls. There is a small shrine in the clearing, and you may touch it once per run.
